Swim to France   

Help us to raise funds for the open air swimming pool and for Weardale French Connection by taking part in our sponsored ‘swim to France’: the aim is to swim the width of the English Channel at its narrowest (21miles or 34 km) by the end of the day. That’s 1360 lengths of our 25m pool. You can swim as many lengths as you like, from 1-100.

Just collect the names of your sponsors on the form overleaf and come along to the pool on Saturday 11th July. Present your form at the ‘England’ end of the pool, swim your lengths, and climb out in ‘France’, where bread, cheese and other French-themed refreshments will be waiting for you!!

The number of lengths swum will be recorded on your form when you arrive in ‘France’. You will them need to collect your sponsorship money. Please drop this off at the pool, or send cheques payable to WOASPA to Jane Webster, 5 Dales Terrace Stanhope, DL13 2XH

A certificate will be awarded to all swimmers – and there will be a prize for the person raising the most money
